Good Faith Estimates: All clients are entitled to a “Good Faith Estimate” outlining the cost of medical and mental health care.
Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and facilities must inform individuals who are uninsured, not enrolled in a federal health care program, or not seeking to file an insurance claim, about their right to request and receive a "Good Faith Estimate" for expected charges. This must be communicated both verbally and in writing.
Providers are required by law to offer an estimate for medical services and items to those without insurance or not using it. This includes non-emergency services and related costs such as tests, prescriptions, equipment, and hospital fees.
You should receive the estimate in writing at least one business day before your scheduled service. You may also request estimates from any provider before scheduling.
If you receive a bill that exceeds your estimate by $400 or more, you can dispute it. Be sure to keep a copy of your estimate. For more details, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

With less than 24 hours’ notice, you are agreeing to pay for the time you reserved. You will be billed 50% of your session fee if you cannot make your appointment and you do not cancel the appointment at least 24 hours in advance.
Emergency situations can be discussed directly with your provider.

During your first session, you'll set up a recurring appointment with your psychologist. Most clients choose weekly sessions, as this tends to promote quicker progress. Consistent sessions help build rapport and a strong therapeutic relationship, which is why we recommend starting with weekly sessions. However, frequency will be assessed over time, and together, you and your psychologist will develop a plan that best suits your needs.

The length of therapy can vary widely based on your individual needs, goals, and preferences. Some people find short-term therapy (around 6-12 sessions) to be beneficial, while others may opt for longer-term therapy. During your initial sessions, you and your psychologist will discuss and customize a treatment plan that fits your unique journey.
